Too Much Power Breads Coruption

4 Dec

Yesterday an election was held in the Nashville, Tennessee area. The Republicans won but not like they should have. The Democrats could have done more to get the vote if they had a better candidate. The difference was the independent’s vote.

The independent vote is like my vote. We have to vote for the candidate that will do the least harm. Lest harm is the key, but how can we determine that? There is no way. Candidates can say anything, but it isn’t a contract. We wish it were a contract, but it is not. Unless we people find a way to control the power, we will be under the most influential party.

There was a movie long ago titled “Mr. Smith goes to Washington”. It demonstrated to the public, in a small way, that corruption rules. About twenty year ago the was a book “I was a hit man for the CIA” which showed how strong we are in the world.

These are examples of real corruption sanction by people that were not elected but given the power by the candidates we did elect. This how far from a founding fathers we had come. Only the voters can change that.
