Is Power More Important than the Constitution?

9 Jan

It is hard to believe we are in a county that takes away our freedom. We are at a place in history that might suggest another Magna Carta like the English had King John to sign. King John just gave more power to the nobleman, but it was a start.

Just according to our internet, h

ere are three main things it did:

1. It Established the Rule of Law:

Note; The rule of law could not be more necessary than now. It is constantly abused by this administration.

2. Protected Individual Rights & Due Process:

Note: Due Process is constantly being abused. By the time the problem is heard, it is often too late to have a positive effect.

3. Limited Taxation & Controlled Royal Power: It prevented the king from imposing new taxes without the consent of a council (barons) and established a council of barons to ensure the king followed the charter.

Note: That is of course what we need. The barons had the right to stop abuse of power. We have a congress that has that right. As the barons had to protect themselves and their subjects, Our representatives have an obligation to protect their constituents.

When our country was formed we took the constitution to a new lever. At least we thought we did. The Constitution of the United States was written by a few men but ratified by every person by vote over the next few years. We established a Supreme Court to keep us in line with the constitution, but some times rather than ruling with the words in the Constitution the members go by a writing of one or more of the signers instead of the words written therein.

We can fix this, but we are listening to a man that says he wants representatives reigned in by restrict term limits and other thing while the president wants to run for a third term and take away or limit the protection of former presidents.

If you can’t see these things developing, I think you may not be paying attention.

Our Children are mis-treated

8 Jan

Today like other days we listen to the power and money speaking to us and the rest of the world. What commodity is the most precious to us today. If your answer was oil, goal, silver, or dollars; your were wrong. The answer is our children. The question gets to be what and how are we teaching our children?

By action we are teaching our children that if you have enough power and money you can actually do anything legal or illegal and even though you are guilty.

With every action of our government we are teaching our children that our religion and governmental teachings do not matter.

Is there an answer to the dilemma? Yes, but it is harsh. We must impeach the president and replace congress. The president has done things that our constitution does not allow, and congress has done nothing to stop him other than some speaking out.

God and Country 2

3 Jan

The Constitution of the United States was created by winning a conflict driven by some duly appointed men of the original thirteen colonies agreeing on a principle that all men are created equal. In some of their minds that meant land owners while some believed it was all men and women regardless of financial stability or origin of birth.

Jefferson tried to get in all inclusive, but the house sent it back to be rewritten. However he and his colleges were able to provide methods to amend the constitution without destroying the spirit.

The spirit of the constitution was to abide by the Declaration of Independence and the Preamble of the Constitution which clearly states that all men or created equal.

The struggle was because the Constitution didn’t suddenly become law on July 4, 1776. It took much debate, prayer trial, and error to realize there had to be a sovereign led entity throughout the process. Just as God was sovereign over all our spirits the federal government had to be sovereign over the states. Of course there had to be safeguards because the federal government would be operated by human beings.

Like a contract you would make with anyone, you both agree to abide by the conditions in the contract. All the states made a contract with the federal government in the constitution. This says we believe in the principles written in the Constitution we have to agree before any principle can be changed. Therefore the Constitution controls the person rather than the person controlling the Constitution.

Even if congress makes a law that might skirt a constitutional principle the Supreme Court can nullify the law because it does not follow the principle.

***We have five major political parties Democrats, Republicans, and Independence are the three main parties with two more parties within the Republican and Independent party witch has an agenda that is not constitutional all.

The first of these two does not want to do the governments work which is outlined in the Constitution. They seem to believe if a person is not well born and is not achieving enough self produced subsistence they are not worthy to be involved in our government. Therefore, they might make it hard to vote or receive benefits from the more fortunate.

The next party is a rougher bunch. They seem to believe that negotiations are not worth their time because there mind has already reached the conclusion they deem correct whether it is or not.

When these two sub-parties swear to uphold the Constitution I do not believe they are serious. When differences appear in the operation of our government either local, state, and federal they should be debated by properly arguing the different side of the disagreement.

When one side looses and the other side wins by presenting a motion on the floor, it is a congressional decision. If it is important and one side holds the discussion back just to stop something that should be decided, that is not upholding the oath they swore to uphold the constitution.

This is what I am concerned about. The spirit of the Constitution and the spirit of the Christian Bible which is the root of the values in our Constitution. Additionally we don’t teach and follow the importance of sovereignty.

We have been Misdirected by Satan

26 Oct

I have heard all of this misdirection from the right I want to hear. I am a pro-life Christian. When I say Christian I believe that children are special in that Jesus said they are special.

Matthew 19: 13-15 (GNT – Good New Translation)

(Mark 10.13-16; Luke 18.15-17)

13 Some people brought children to Jesus for him to place his hands on them and to pray for them, but the disciples scolded the people.

14 Jesus said, “Let the children come to me and do not stop them, because the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”

He placed his hands on them and then went away.

I can only interpret that passage as God will take them in heaven if they die before they can make their own decisions. I don’t agree with killing anyone without a reason to do so, but I don’t believe in bringing a child into this world without loving it.

I believe in reasonable gun control, but I can’t see a reason why any civilian should have an automatic weapon in their home. If we need fire power like that, our government will give us what we need. If we need protection we have wonderful men and women that are eager to serve.

At this point in time the far right is not representing the country I served when I was in the Navy. I took an oath to defend and protect the constitution when I joined because I believe that wise men under God’s direction wrote almost all we needed at the time. Some tried to make all men equal, but it wasn’t to be at that time.

I am very satisfied with all men and women of any color having the same rights as me. What we look like doesn’t matter. It is what we do and say that matters. Isaiah describes Jesus 700 years before He was born.

2 Isaiah 53: 2-3 (GNT) It was the will of the Lord that his servant grow like a plant taking root in dry ground. He had no dignity or beauty to make us take notice of him. There was nothing attractive about him, nothing that would draw us to him. 3We despised him and rejected him; he endured suffering and pain. No one would even look at him. We ignored him as if he were nothing.

People didn’t listen to Jesus because of how he looked. It was because of who He was and what He said and did.

What we are seeing from the right is people who don’t believe the bible the way is was written and in God who loves even His enemies. It is misdirection fuel by the devil to split a country that God gave to us with a set of rules to live by. The points that the right are using to divide us have nothing to do with running the country.

The far left is still dividing our country giving more than is needed to ecourage everyone to get ahead by working. I am not talking about people who need things like those on drugs, have lost their job due to something they could not do anything about. They are also fine with putting people in jail with no opportunity to renew their situation that would allow them to rejoin society. The ACLU was a good idea that went too far in somethings and not far enough in others. A very badly run organization.

We need a congress that is zoned in on what the nation was founded on. The Constitution of the United States is very clear. Separation of religion and the government is not in my Constitution. What the Constitution says that the government cannot tell us what to believe. However, every session of congress is opened with a prayer to our savior. If someone is an atheist why should it matter to them what anyone believes. However they took it to our Supreme Court and convinced nine justices a non-believer had a right to overturn our constitution.

We need to get back into the middle of the road and govern like the ones that started this nation. The founders wrote the Constitution fairly quickly, but it took twelve years to get it ratified to begin our government on March 4, 1789. It took the original thirteen states that long to agree on a government that has held together for the past 133 years.

All we have to remember is what Jesus said.

Luke 11: 16-17 ( GNT) Mt 12.38; 16.1; Mk 8.11 Others wanted to trap Jesus, so they asked him to perform a miracle to show that God approved of him. 17But Jesus knew what they were thinking, so he said to them, “Any country that divides itself into groups which fight each other will not last very long; a family divided against itself falls apart. 18So if Satan’s kingdom has groups fighting each other, how can it last?

If we don’t show the other countries we can love each other, how will we ever be able to help them love God. If those who don’t vote do not register in vote we are showing the country that we don’t love this coutry.

Easter is Here Again

9 Apr

Today our pastor said Christians are not coming to church as they used to.  He is right.  We don’t come to church as we once did, but some of us do.  It is up to the “some of us” to encourage church attendance once again.  As long as you go to a church that believes Christ died and rose on the third day for our sins, it doesn’t much matter which denomination your chose.

I encourage you to read the bible daily and pray often for one another.  Our Christian religion is the only religion that matters.  The New Age “everyone will get there” is nonsense.  Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one goes to the father except through me.” is the only statement that will work for all of us.

By going to church and keeping Christian values at our forefront, we will win back our nation.

Do Values Govern Us

1 Aug

I have been thinking about the coming election concerning our President, Congress, governors, state legislators, and Supreme Court as it relates to our Constitution.  After spending some time praying about all of them and the nation, I have come to the conclusion that our Constitution was not based on anything but God’s values.  This is a very important statement of my belief.

First I have a choice to either follow our not follow the values set forth in the Holy Bible.  The Old Testament is taken from the Torah where we get the Ten Commandments.  Our New Testament is based on the gospels telling the story of Jesus.  Jesus said the greatest commandment of all is love.  We are to love first love God, then our neighbor as our self.

What we need is a President, Congress, governors, state legislators and Supreme Court that understands that simple point.  If the platforms of the parties do not reflect love, it is wrong constitutionally.  If the candidates running for office do not want to bring the love of mankind, along with stewardship, and faith in the Almighty back to this country, they should not be elected.

Note:  The Constitution does not prohibit God’s influence in governing our nation.  Separation of church and state does not exist in the Constitution.  It does say the government cannot direct you to or against any religion.

Love is what our representatives do; not just what they say they will do.

Our country is falling apart because of this.  We are a very gullible people.

They (our representatives) said they would solve the problems produced by burning coal.

  • Today coal miners are not working in a safe environment.
  • The carbon emissions are still at an all-time high.
  • Some of the government officials and representatives are pushing the idea of clean coal.

They said they would impose safety measures concerning the production of oil.

  • We have tax exception for oil companies,
  • Fracking is destroying our water supply and the stability of the crust of the earth.

They said they wanted to make justice for all a priority when they were elected.

  • The bankers, politicians, corporate officers that commit crimes against the public are never even charged.
  • Corporate profits go to the company benefits and CEO salaries and benefit rather than increasing the income of the common workers or stockholders.
  • Congress spends an enormous amount of money investigating the possibility of a crime which should be handled in a grand jury where there is no agenda other than the truth.
  • People are serving sentences in jail because they could not afford a private attorney and have to rely on a public defender to negotiate and plea deal because they do not have the money for a trial.

They said they would raise the minimum wage.

  • They instead not only did not give the minimum wage a hike, but raised their own pay scale.

They said they would stop loopholes in the gun laws to allow through checks for gun buyer,

  • They didn’t do anything to protect the public.
  • Background checks are a joke.
    • o If you want guns sold on illegally stopped, make the sentence strong enough to show we care.

They say they have passed protection on the internet.

  • Try to report a fraud and see that you get shuffled around.

They say if you see something say something.

  • If you see something on your job or see fraud in action, you will be left holding the bag with no assistance from the government.

They said they were concerned about US jobs and income.

  • The minimum wage stays stagnant below the poverty level.
  • Jobs are sent overseas by US companies.

They said ISIL is our enemy but not Islam.

  • We do not condemn Islam units that support ISIL.
  • We have not made clear that an oath taken as a citizen cannot be taken or citizenship granted if your religious beliefs do not coincide with the US Constitution.
  • Do we teach the principles of the Constitution in our schools well enough to make those principles dwell in the thinking of our young people?

Therefore, we have to examine the way we vote.

  • Do we vote for popularity are for the principles of the person running?
  • Do we send the same people back to the Senate and Congress both state and national because we do not examine their votes against the principles they said they would follow?
  • Do we make decisions about our fellow man based on our Christian beliefs or based on what we have been told?
  • Do we know right from wrong?

The solution is that we must examine our own agenda.

  • What do I really believe?
  • What am I willing to give up to elect representatives that support what I believe?
  • Am I willing to accept lame excuses for representatives not voting for right rather than wrong?
  • If I am a Christian, Jew, Buddhist, Islam, or any other religion, atheist, or agnostic do I support my beliefs, or is it lip service?

I am a Christian and believe that God made the world and everyone in it.  I believe God gave us the planet to care for.  I believe God gave Moses the Ten Commandments, and God gave us Jesus who clarified them with one word, Love.  It is hard for me to believe that men and women that serve us a legislators make the laws they make in the name of service to mankind.

I believe God is the creator of the earth, and I accept the fact that God cleverly hid America from the rest of the world until His timing was right.  I believe He guided the men who wrote the Declaration of Independence and the United States Constitution to reflect His values.  If you agree with that, you will agree we have not done a very good job of electing and controlling our representatives.  Now join me in asking God to guide my vote this fall and elect men and women that will actually do the job of reflecting our values.

Now, what do you believe?

Do we want Justice

13 Jun

A five foot two inch female school crossing guard puts her hand up and stops a sixteen wheeler without the slightest notion that the signal will be ignored.  The children cross the busy street without fear from oncoming traffic.  This is the way it should always be when an officer of the law give a command.  Two ideas become evident at this time.  One is that the officer is simply doing her job, and the receiver of the information wants to obey the law.

When I was a young man when an officer gave a command, there was not an option.  Now the bleeding hearts that point at the offers who are expected to, on the spot, psychoanalyze the subject and make a decision whether the subject is guilty or innocent as abusers of the law.

My question is does this make any sense at all.  Where is the respect for the law?  When a duly appointed officer of the law says to anyone that he want them to talk to him on any subject, do we have an option to agree or not agree to speak with him.  Absolutely we could claim the Fifth Amendment, or simply exercise our right to have counsel present, but we should not have the right to scream defiance to the officer attempting to do his or her duty.

From an economic point of view we should understand that we can make law in the legislative branch to be enforced by the executive branch of our government the cost is less than to use the judicial branch of our government to make law.  It seems to me that there should be a reasonable method to reach a point that would protect the safety of the law enforcement officers and the subjects.

A federal law should be written that says that if a law enforcement officer identifies themselves properly and the subject has a reasonable reason to suspect they are the person to whom the officer is addressing, they should make every effort to stop and comply with the instructions of the officer.  If the officer is wrong in his direction that then could become a court case against the officer.

If on the other hand the subject does not comply and runs from the officer, the legal definition of the subject would then become a target for the officer.  The exception would be if the legal representative is not a duly appointed officer of the city, country or perish.

The legal system has turned against the officer giving undeserved rights to the subjects committing or suspected of committing crimes against our country’s citizens.  If it is left to the legal forces to have to put themselves into unnecessary danger to protect the public, something is bad wrong.  I believe the bleeding hearts will not put themselves into danger to protect the public.

This is not to say the officer professional should not give the public respect and expect the same back from the public.  If we go by the accounts and opinions broadcasted by the media the police are always wrong and always prejudice.  Most of our law enforcement officers are good people who have been placed in a position no one would normally elect to be placed.

Our government cannot micro-manage our lives.  No one is that wise.  Our Supreme Court is also not wise enough to make laws with their rulings.

Personally I am for a constitutional convention, but I doubt seriously that a majority of our several states will enact such a convention.  I further believe that if we don’t have a constitutional convention we very well could have to experience a revolution from the masses that have just had it with the congresses and power mongers.

Let us revert back to what God intended when he allowed us to become these United States and let us a win more than one war that was impossible for us to win.  If we don’t give him the glory, he will take this country away from our children and grandchildren.

ISIL the Enemy

27 Apr

I listen to the news and the pundits talk about ISIL like they are a country.  In fact ISIL is an idea that has declared war with the intent of world domination on the world.  Not just part of the world, but all of the world.

ISIL is using the power of the press to misdirect the thinking of not just the American people, but all peoples, to believe the protection needed is what protection can be afforded by their particular country.

ISIL representatives seem to have bought into the belief of God, as represented by some Muslims who basically believe world domination has been directed for them by God and has directed them to take it by force.

No book or writings that I am aware of has stated God wants to forcibly take over this world in any way.  God’s view of the hereafter has been foretold by the prophets of old.  Even if you take away the New Testament that I love, this is not God’s plan.  God does not need man to do anything.  God is Omnipotent.

If I am a weak minded young man or woman that believes the world is just no fair to me and some group comes along an says everyone else is the problem, I can be coerced into joining such a group.  No responsibility to me there I just do what I am told.

Now I am part of the cause that promises to correct all the problems of the injustice I face every day.

Think about this concept.  We are not fighting a country.  We are fighting an idea.  Any country that supports this concept is an enemy of the United States and many other countries that reject this concept.

WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY

31 Mar

I could give many examples of what the bible says about this or that.  In those examples I would be telling to that intellectually, the bible is for or against examples of our society.  At the same time I could give examples for or against the life styles of individuals in our society.

Anything I could or world possibly say would give you an example of what I like or dislike as it relates to the law.  In almost every case I would be against abortion.  I am pro-life.  I believe people who are homosexual have chosen a wrong path.  I believe to declare same sex unions as married degrades my marriage which is a normal marriage.  However, while just stating my beliefs, as a citizen of these United States, I believe a woman should have a choice legally because I support the constitution and the laws passed and certified by the high courts.  I believe couples should have a legal protection under the law that protects their life style as long as that life does not effect our social structure.  The word marriage does effect my life style.  The killing of a baby effects my legal conscious but is deeply distressful for my religious conscience.

How can that all be correct you ask?  The simple answer is love.  Jesus said of all the commandments, the greatest of these is love.  I can love you and hate what you do.  Our government could have defined the limits of abortion to the third day of pregnancy which is when, I understand, the organizer, magically appears and begin to organize which molecule goes where the in the construction of the human baby.  The only thing I can do about that as an individual is to pray the mother makes the correct choice.

As Christians, if we were better organized, the laws that are passed would be directed toward the beliefs that our congress men and women say they believe.  Many times I a very sure that those that say they are Christians do not understand Christianity.  I believe this because love is not their priority.  Anyone can say anything, but there are two realism.  One is that you are what you think, and you are judged by what you do and not what we say.

I believe to send a voice that will be heard as it should be that the churches should speak together.  We have people who say they speak for the church.  We know them as the far right.  It is, however, clear that they speak for the conservative based disguising themselves as the religious conscience of the nation.  I contend that their goals are political and not religious.

It is time that the churches speak out from the ground level rather than the shallow thinking quips sent out from the political far right.

When Jesus took the coin and said, “Give unto Cesar what is Cesar’s and unto God what is God’s,” I believe he was talking about more than money.

God Bless

WHO IS IN CHARGE

30 Mar

Many think the people are in charge of everything that happens here in this United States of America.  Those that are paying more attention believe that  only those that vote are in charge of what happens in our government.  Those who have given up say that their vote does not count.  Yet many believe that the people who appear on the ballots are not chosen by the people, therefore we become one more step removed from the real truth.  What is then the truth?  The answer I believe is all of that.

I am very interested in the Christian point of view and what we Christians have given up to let the world outside, stay outside our realm of influence for our immediate life.  I believe as we think of our environment as Christians, we should understand what we have given up and how it has affected the community around us.  We have very intelligent young people around us today that understand that we believe in God and especially Jesus, but just can’t put that belief and the modern world together in the same basket.

Modern public television constantly tries to paint a picture of the foolishness of our faith based belief with modern techniques of research that is based solely on the information they gather.  None that I have seen start from the point of view that the bible is correct in the first place.  They can agree that the oldest parts were written at least one thousand years before Christ.  Just becasue they haven’t found the earlier writings does not mean they do not exist.  Our bible is written so well to cover the period of time before our Christ, his life and the exploits of his followers for a time.

Our news tells young women can decide whether or not to terminate the life of an unborn.  The picture of marriage has changed to a live together contract never supported by our biblical beliefs.

We are told that we should refrain from discussing political beliefs and religious beliefs because it just cause problems and doesn’t really do anything to help us understand our lives.  At the same time those who no better give our christian duty of the church to our government and keep us in the dark as to the morality of the federal government and in many times the government of the church.

Our youth watch as the ACLU, a group that is supposed to be supporting our rights, follow an agenda that constantly fights the rights of the individual Christian citizen of these United States while supporting the idea of someone that has no convictions.

There are many more ways the government both state and federal intentionally try to influence our youth to believe and live a non-Christian life so they can be more easily managed.  Why else would the very rich support candidates for local and federal offices in areas that do not directly or indirectly affect the outcome of the elections.

In some way we Christians have to band together to control the freedom of religions, but not rule the nations.  For we Christians the life is not our biggest concern personally because we know that this is only temporary.  However, our concern should become to be the welfare of our church that support the children of the present and future.

Please do not be a bystander!!!
